European Legislation states that all properties marketed for sale or lettings will require and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).

We are all familiar with the ratings that are provided when buying a new fridge or washing machine. Similarly properties have to have a rating both in terms of their Energy Efficiency and also their Environmental Impact. An example of the Certificate is set out below.

The assessment will investigate the type of heating and boiler, insulation, windows and even the number of low energy light bulbs in the property.

We will then be able to prepare a report based on the information which will not only  tell you the position of the property as it is at the present time, but also give practical advise on how to improve the energy efficiency, potentailly saving you both money and lessening the impact of your carbon footprint as well as making the property more attractive to prospective tenants or buyers.
